Default Purpose of GH

Something sir green aluminum said got me wondering if people do actually use the GH for a mini-town. I was in a guild with approx 85 members and at any giving time there was 8 people in the GH and that was only if we were doing a gvg. Are there any guilds out there who do have say, 25 or 30 peeps at a time in hall?

It's a nice place to just sit around and relax while either whispering with somebody or planning something out in the game.

Nobody trying to sell you something.

Nobody dancing naked.

Nobody calling you a noob.

My previous guild held Guild Meetings there and had dance parties afterwards. About 20 people or so there during this time.

I'll sit in there when I have logged in and just intend to talk to others. Other than that, when we are organising a team for tombs or gvg.

i think if there was more to do at the GH other than GvG (i.e. Guild storage etc) you'd run into people there more often. Right now it truly is only somewhere to go for GvG or AFK.

If I remember correctly, I remember a interview saying that guild halls will become more usable, by adding storages and other things.

Ash.

I am borrowing my brothers account so have a "WPG Storage" character that I use for shared guild storage of common materials. I am also using his inactive character to store collector items. So between the 2 we get a few in at a time, but it is for a purpose. Other than that I never see anyone there, and we don't do PvP as a guild.

guild halls are nice, but they could use some improvement.
its nice to go there when youre conversing with someone (me and my guildmate have heated debates over builds often).
its also fun as a guest to go to someone elses guild hall and then if anybody who doesnt know you comes you point out that youre not in their guild, reactions are pretty funny.
lol sometimes i go to my guild hall and run around with no clothes on.......i need stuff to do.

Another dull topic. It's common knowledge that Anet agrees with this sentiment and will be buffing the guild halls at some point. Moving on.....

guild halls are like girl/boy friends. Everyone wants one but they are useless most of the time.

If any of this happens to you. leave your guild .

I like guild halls. Their uses are so much fun like...
-Parties! You have to fight for your right to PAR---TAY!!!
-Hide and Go Seek. No looking at you map .
-Build discussion in nice scenery.
-No monsters to kill you while afk
-Walk around by yourself
-Jiggy wit it time!

There are lots of things you can do in the Guild Hall. Just be creative.

They're useless unless they have something like a Xunlai agent, merchant, Priest of Balthazar or skill trainer. Of course you might have to do something to unlock these characters. Like paying the Xunlai agent 50 gp, getting something from someone at the ember light camp to activate the skill trader, etc..

Would also be nice to have a Weapons Bloke to customise weapons.

I agree.

Of course, guild halls already have a use. It's called GvG...

I've used GH so Guildies and I trade there because you can get there quick by just clicking "G" and click "Guild Hall" and when you are transfering something to your other account you know exactly where that person is.
